aqua park

took me longer than i would have liked to post this one because the internet here hates the size of the photos i am uploading.

today we went back to another experience i had last year - the maxell aqua park. i’ve realized i kinda frontloaded most of the repeat visit stuff right off the bat. if you want to read the blog post from when i came here last year, here you go.

i didn’t realize that i had not seen everything this place had last year. i did not know they also had reptiles, penguins, capybaras, and a bunch of other things in a separate building.

we have a big day planned on the 26th, so i thought it would be a good idea to take it easy and not do a whole lot.

i assume this is because of cherry blossom season, but the first thing you see when you arrive is a very pink room with a centerpiece full of pink fish. japan loves cherry blossom season, and will of course take any opportunity to celebrate it. considering this is the busiest tourist season of the year, i understand why they would lean into it whenever possible.
