back to tokyo
took very few pictures today. today was a day of travel.
last year, i took a local flight back to tokyo from oita airport, which is pretty close to beppu.
this time, i decided it would be more fun to take trains back. its nearly 6 and a half hours on 2 trains.
i had to take a 90 or so minute regular train (gray line) to kokura station, and then take a shinkansen (blue line) all the way to tokyo from there.
this was kind of a heartwarming journey. this train journey goes back through the majority of the places i went on this trip. it was kinda like pressing rewind. it didn’t go through fukuoka, nara, or kanazawa. but otherwise this trip kinda is the reverse of the trip i have spent the last month on.
but since i knew i was on trains all day, i packed up the camera. i only got a few photos from the hotel and beppu station in the morning.
shortest blog post ever, but really i just took a bunch of trains and got a boring hotel in tokyo.
