drained

yesterday was a lot. i thought my feet hurt when i got home, but i was so wrong. when i woke up and got out of bed i learned that my entire body from the waist down aged 250 years. yesterday was a huge amount of physical activity for me.

originally, i was going to go to ueno and check out some museums today, and go see a don quijote store.

i decided to cancel both of these plans and stay home. i had a ton of laundry to do as well. i had to debate between carrying all my laundry to a coin operated laundromat vs. using the small washing machine here, and i decided to use the one here because i didn’t want to put on shoes and walk anywhere.

i was able to figure it out. i have never really had to hang-dry clothes before, but thankfully the amazing shinobu-san left a dehumidifer in the room, so it was pretty easy and didn’t take too long. i did most of my laundry today.

i also ate a bunch of 7-eleven snacks instead of meals, and i don’t regret it at all.

i have discovered that i love baumkuchen, a german pastry that is very popular in japan. 7-eleven sells it, and its great. its like small, very dense cake without frosting and a bit less sweet.

i also discovered that japanese potato chips are great. theyre less salty than the american ones, which find really funny considering how much of the japanese diet is extremely salty. maybe they just used it all elsewhere. but the chips were great.

i don’t really have much to report today, so i am going to use this page to talk about an advertisement that i hate. i see it everywhere. it is following me around. i see it on trains, in every cab i have taken, i saw it on a screen in shibuya the other night… i cannot escape this ad.

here is the ad:

and here is a meme i made about it

thats really all i have for today. sorry this post is super short and super late. honestly, i expected the fatigue to be much worse than it has been.
